I am writing to thank you once again for the tremendous First Sight eyeglasses kit that you put together. I was in central Kenya recently with Dr. Vicky Beemer, using a kit that she ordered from you recently to help high school aged kids see better. We sorely underestimated the need and used almost all of the original kit and one that was left over from when I was screening kids in another location there about 2-3 years ago. Kids were coming from nearly 30 miles away to be fitted so that they could see the blackboard! We have arranged for this service to be ongoing with the local Kenyans in charge and soon I will be ordering more supplies from you, but for now, I just want to thank you for a great service tool that benefits so many people. I appreciate you!

Meet Samira from rural Uganda, whose life was transformed when she received her First Sight eyeglasses. For years, Samira struggled to see the blackboard clearly in her classroom, causing her grades to suffer. However, after a simple eye examination and the provision of First Sight eyeglasses, Samira's grades improved significantly. She now aspires to become a teacher and inspire other children to reach their full potential.

Our experience with the First Sight kit was transformative for many of the elderly people we served. They were so excited to be able to see and read. The women asked for the chance to pray for us and our work, they felt so blessed to be able to read. The kit was easy to understand and to teach to individuals with limited medical backgrounds. They quickly became proficient and were excited to help with the screening process and with creation of the glasses. It was very satisfying to screen patients and provide glasses within about 10 minutes

First Sight company offers a simple and effective way to provide eye care to rural areas of the country…Working with First Sight kit I found it was relatively easy to issue eyeglasses for people who have minor single farsightedness, near sightedness.
